In het door meth geteisterde Colt Lake wordt een moord gepleegd die alles verandert. Hulpsheriff Sam Evans moet de zaak leiden, maar niemand neemt hem nog serieus. Tot Bobby Gaines arriveert, een charismatische undercover agent die meteen als redder wordt omarmd.
