SYNOPSIS

After being fired from his job, a sex-addicted journalist is desperate for a story that will pay his rent. After meeting a Stanford-educated escort in a swanky hotel, he decides to write a piece on her. While getting to know each other, their unusual relationship evolves from transactional to romantic.

  • HollywoodReporter.com: Played with charm by Lyndsy Fonseca and Michael Doneger, they're a high-end prostitute and a sex-obsessed journalist, and their mercenary alliance proceeds as a spirited, mostly convincing, exploration of life in the big city. Though the film grows more predictable as it proceeds, its doses of self-awakening ring true. Fonseca is particularly sharp; when her character faces herself in the mirror, she lends depth to what could have been a hackneyed symbol of reckoning. Slocombe and Klutz frame that turning point to full effect without getting heavy-handed.

Lyndsy Fonseca will make any leading man look like he is a megastar capable of emotionally connecting with a sexy woman. That is the secret and perhaps the one key to the movie's success.
