SYNOPSIS

Two soldiers are tasked with deciding the fate of a terrorist with a single push of a button. With time running out, the soldiers begin to question what the real motives are behind the ordered lethal attack.

REVIEWS

  • HollywoodReporter.com: Drones is not exactly subtle, but it is a commendable attempt to dramatize a hot contemporary issue without resorting to clumsy didacticism or obvious political bias.
  • MovieNation.com: Mumford and O'Leary get beyond the cardboard character "types" and make these people more interesting and conflicted than they first seem. And the claustrophobic milieu, just two people staring at long range video, punching buttons, maneuvering their Reaper and trying to make snap decisions that won't haunt them, serve the movie well.
  • Influxmagazine.com: Drones forces us to question and examine the morals of using UAVs in this day and age, in a manner not dissimilar to that brilliant thriller Unthinkable by Gregor Jordan. Whether it manages to pull it off I'll let you decide, but as far as entertainment goes Drones definitely succeedes. A nail-biter of a thriller.
  • Horrorcultfilms.co.uk: Drones is quite a character-driven piece and fortunately the two leads bounce off another well and are enjoyable to watch. A decent script that challenges the viewer as well as the characters makes this film a really interesting watch.
  • Examiner.com: it's a compelling thriller that brings many undiscussed things to life that we should all see. While not the most exciting thriller on the market Drones is solid enough to catch a view as it stands out from many films in its caliber.
