Battle Drone

Available on VOD: 5 juli 2018
Director: Mitch Gould
Cast: Louis Mandylor (My Big Fat Greek Wedding 1 & 2, One in the Chamber), Dominique Swain (Face/Off, Lolita), Michael Paré (The Philadelphia Experiment, The Lincoln Lawyer, The Virgin Suicides), Natassia Malthe (Lake Placid, Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief)

In the vein of blockbusters THE EXPENDABLES and THE A-TEAM, a group of highly skilled mercenaries find themselves betrayed by the U.S. Government, and are forced to fight their way out of an ambush by a new, lethal humanoid drone. Get ready for some intense action!

  • Mandylor is in true action hero mode. Battle Drone is an epic indie action blast!
  • Battle Drone did not have the star power of The Expendables or even some of the other movies inspired by the Stallone franchise, but what Battle Drone did have was plenty of video game style action jammed into the 93 minute runtime. I thought the cast had good chemistry and the movie progressed at an entertaining pace. Battle Drone also had a satisfying ending that left the door open for Rekker and company to see more action in the future.
  • For Battle Drone, Gould serves a consistent, solid leading man in Mandylor along with Parè and actress Swain. It's damn good fun!

When college professor Nolan Cooray’s wife and daughter are killed in the crossfire of a gang dispute and the system fails to bring justice, Nolan joins Hank and his crew for payback.

  • Overall I give the film a 7 out of 10. Hollow Point is pretty good.

Available on VOD: 10 oktober 2019
Director: Julian Richards
Cast: Barbara Crampton (You're Next, Re-Animator), Michael Paré (The Philadelphia Experiment, The Lincoln Lawyer, The Virgin Suicides), Kayleigh Gilbert, Monte Markham, Chaz Bono (American Horror Story)

A stillborn baby girl brought back to life by an electrical storm before being abducted from hospital by a morgue attendant. On her sixteenth birthday, empowered with the gift to manipulate electricity, she escapes her captor and sets out to find her birth mother leaving a trail of destruction behind her.

  • a sophisticated dramatisation of an actress’s internalised ‘method’ of processing personal trauma into performance.
  • Kayleigh Gilbert, who did a terrific job in the role of Tess, her performance complimented by the fact that she has a great look for the part. 7/10.
  • Full of interesting scenes and outlandish deaths, Reborn is a horror thriller for those seeking out something a bit refreshing.
  • We get a playfully formulaic story involving protectiveness, revenge, spectacular deaths (some of which feel richly deserved) and investigation.
  • Crampton makes a fair fist of the older woman film star determined to fight her way back while still saddled with an overarching sense of loss while Gilbert appears superbly deranged as the girl determined to sort things out for her new-found mom. All in it’s an effective chiller with at least two killer jump out of your seat moments.
  • A fun flick with a game cast.
  • Best Director - Fantasporto (Portugal)
  • Best Director - Roswell Film Festival (USA)
  • Best Sci-Fi Feature - Another Hole In The Head (USA)
  • Best Horror Feature - Mad Monster Party (USA)
  • Best Horror Feature - Horror Hotel (USA)

  • Another unexpectedly decent movie from Mr Uwe Boll. This is getting to become a habit! I would say this is the best I've seen from Uwe Boll.
  • I have always had a sweet spot for Uwe Boll's film but this is definitely one of his best. It is well shot and packs some solid suspense.
