Aan de grens met Mexico probeert een ex-elitesoldaat de demonen uit zijn verleden achter zich te laten. As Good As Dead serveert pure, onversneden actie met spetterende vechtscènes, een klassiek lone wolf-verhaal en een snuifje Karate Kid. Veteraan Tom Berenger (Inception, Platoon, Sniper) zorgt voor de dreigende noot, Louis Mandylor (My Big Fat Greek Wedding 1 & 2, One in the Chamber) voor de luchtige. Ram-bro, indeed.

Nick, voormalig special ops specialist in liquidatie, kruist het pad van DEA-agent Anthony. Ze blijken beiden achter dezelfde terreurorganisatie aan te zitten. De terroristen hebben een gevaarlijke machine gebouwd waarmee ze overal ter wereld elektriciteitsnetwerken kunnen uitschakelen, waardoor een wereldwijde ramp dreigt.
